A nationwide TURKAPNE cohort study, with data monitoring support provided by MEDEX, has been published in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine.

We are pleased to share an important scientific publication from the TURKAPNE Study Group.

The study entitled “Diabetes mellitus is associated with increased prevalence and severity of COMISA: evidence from the nationwide TURKAPNE cohort” was conducted by the TURKAPNE Study Group with data monitoring support provided by MEDEX, and has been published in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine.

A Nationwide Multicenter Study

This multicenter study evaluated data from 12,715 adults across 34 centers.

The findings showed that diabetes mellitus was independently associated with COMISA (Comorbid Insomnia and Sleep Apnea). Sleep fragmentation and respiratory disturbances were more pronounced in patients with both diabetes and COMISA.
